Job Description

Position objective

Responsible for coordinating the design, conceptualization, validation and establishing the processes that create an environment that will allow the team members from our fabrication areas to work in a safe environment, achieve high quality standards from our products and improve our process efficiency all the way to world-class level. The organization of the plant should always consider the following key concepts: H&S, lean manufacturing (VA/NVA), continuous improvement, 5S, total quality management, total productive maintenance and one-piece flow, while effectively managing and controlling the area’s budget. Also, as a coordinator, you are responsible for generating strong development and a positive work environment for the people on your team and the teams you collaborate with, so that together they become part of our highly efficient organization.

Position profile

Bachelor: Engineering or similar

Years: At least 5

In: experience in a previous related position. (IE/ME/NPD)

In:24 Months of experience in project management is desirable.

Technical skills (Minimum desire). Technical knowledge requirement to fill the position.
Example: Excel, calibration tools, etc.)

Roles & responsibilities

●    Assure the creation of a working environment that is clean, well-organized and that prevents accidents from the conception of the process.
●    Ensure that our processes are robust enough to enable our people to produce high-quality Hull / Deck to meet the BRP standards.
●    Ensure that our processes, equipment and tools maximize the VA/NVA ratio while taking into consideration our workers reality, using top of the line technologies.
●    Perform the annual revision of each of the engineers in the team through the implementation of SMART based objectives and providing on time follow up via PMP process.
●    Provide a robust development plan for each of the engineers on his team based on SWOT analysis.
●    Demonstrate strong leadership and promote a positive work environment for the people of his team and adjust if needed using the OfficeVibe and 1 on 1 programs.
●    As leader of the IE department of a top of the line company innovation and continuous striving for excellence are a must. 
●    Assure assigned projects are achieved on time, and create solid governance and standards.
●    Detecting, managing and communicating risks is a key responsibility.
●    Create pertinent ISO procedures for its field and deploy them until they are fully understood and well followed by all involved parties.
●    Create a continuous improvement culture by using lean manufacturing principles (BRPMS)
●    Ensure collaboration across departments by leading, developing, and coaching his employees to work together in a fast-paced environment.
●    Detect and generate business case opportunities by participating in the strategic planning.
●    Control department cost to meet financial objectives (CAPEX/OPEX).
●    Collaborate enthusiastically in promoting BRP work culture daily by spreading a winning attitude.
●    Follow BRP values and behaviors.
●    Ensure a safe working environment and take full accountability for all safety related topics.
●    Enforce Quality BRP policy.
