Community Information:

Fairview is seeking a Sports Medicine (Non-Surgical) Physician to join their team at M Health Fairview Sports Medicine Clinic - Blaine. This position is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and sports-related conditions across assigned clinics and care settings. This role focuses on non-operative management, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for patients of all activity levels.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and functional assessments based on age, relevant health and medical history
  • Diagnose and manage acute, sub-acute and chronic musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries using non-surgical approaches
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans, including physical therapy, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Determine effectiveness of individualized treatment plan and revises care plan as needed to achieve health and medical goals
  • Educates and communicates respectfully and effectively with patients and family for understanding of information related to diagnosis, injury prevention, recovery and treatment plan, performance optimization and need for follow-up care while adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (imaging, lab work) and adjust care plans based on results
  • Perform in-office procedures as appropriate (joint injections, ultrasound-guided procedures)
  • Coordinate care with specialists, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide timely consultations to referring providers and collaborate on patient care plans


Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Demonstrated experience in non-surgical musculoskeletal care and sports medicine
  • Active and unrestricted medical license
  • Board certified/eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with completion of fellowship training and board certified/eligible in Sports Medicine
