Description

The Load Securement Specialist is responsible for properly securing shipments by means of strapping, poly, tarping, and bungees loads safely and efficiently. 

• Properly secure freight on trailers for safe and effective spotting and loading operations.
• Work closely with site and shift supervisor for securement compliance.
• Maintain communication with coworkers and management to create a safe and positive working environment.
• Promptly report safety and efficiency concerns to the site or shift supervisor.
• Practice safety at all times. Actively participate in daily safety briefings.
• Always follow Sustainable Yard Management rules and regulations.
• Assist with inventory of securement and inspect completed loads before departure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a self-starter and have a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, and twisting.
  • Must be able to perform occasional heavy lifting.  Lifting various objects overhead up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
