Description:

If you love the water and help others then our Swim Lesson Instructor position is for you. Our instructors play in the water, build relationships with students, and celebrate success, all while teaching water safety and stroke development skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide safe environment for students
• Provide swim instruction based on the SwimSafe curriculum
• Know your swimmers’ accomplishments and communicate to parents and/or lesson coordinator
• Use creative-thinking to discover new ways to teach 
• Celebrate even the smallest victories of students
• Use problem-solving skills to address challenges
• Act as a representative of SwimSafe Pool Management Co. throughout swim lessons
• Report any incidents or unsafe situations/conditions to management team
• Attend training and inservices as required

Requirements:

• Ability to work with children
• Comfortable in water and basic swim knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal communication
• Successful completion of SwimSafe swim lesson training upon hire

Work Environment:

• Outdoor pool setting
• Exposure to imperfect weather conditions

Preferred Requirements

• Previous Swim Lesson Instructor experience or Swim Team Coaching experience 
• Customer service experience
