The Role
This role is responsible for leading and optimising the end-to-end movement of Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific’s (DNAP) goods across domestic and international supply chains to ensure safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective delivery.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership across logistics, shipping and air freight activities, balancing service, cost and risk while managing time-critical and high-value movements.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, this role supports supply continuity, regulatory compliance and performance transparency while building a resilient logistics capability.
- Own and manage end-to-end logistics, shipping and air freight activities
- Ensure safe and compliant movement of dangerous and regulated goods
- Manage freight operations including urgent and time-critical shipments
- Negotiate and manage contracts with freight forwarders and carriers
- Develop and manage freight budgets, forecasts and cost initiatives
- Establish and track logistics KPIs and manage disruptions and risk
What you’ll bring
- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
- Strong experience across shipping with logistics experience advantageous
- Knowledge of International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG), Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) and Australian Explosives Code (AEC) regulations.
- Commercial capability in contract negotiation and cost control
- Ability to operate autonomously in complex, time-critical environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Queensland Security Card (QSEC) and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
