Position Overview:
Sets up and operates variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and repair aircraft interior components and high grade furniture by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies.
- Work off computer drawings for articles to be fabricated
- Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer to cut as required
- Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
- Bores holes for inserts, pins and screws
- Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit
- Drives fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints
- Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
- Other duties may be assigned
