Responsibilities:
What You Will Do:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional services described herein as an independent contractor.
- Evaluates the competency of individuals to provide home health aide services
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Physicians’ orders-HHA Plan of Care
- Documentation/Advance Directives/DNR
- Reporting change in patient condition or skin condition/breakdown
- Reporting change in body function/Pain Mgt.
- Communication skills/ability to read, write, and report clinical info to clients, family and other caregivers
- Vital signs – temp, pulse and respirations
- Infection control/Hazardous Waste
- Recognizing emergencies/Emergency Preparedness
- Maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Basic elements of body functioning and reportable changes
- Grooming (hair, nail, and skin care)
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to work in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
- Ability to provide personal care for non-ambulatory clients, use a Hoyer lift, maneuver wheelchairs, and transport clients to community events and social activities.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written; strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems demonstrating good judgment.
Education and Experience:
- One (1) year of experience working in homecare
- Two (2) years nursing experience
- Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana
