Job Description

Position Summary:       




Kitchen Helper


Prepare food items, outgoing orders, and serve food to customers.


Work Schedule: Sunday 10:00 am - 7:15 pm; Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm






Position Responsibilities:





  • Washes dishes and/or pots

  • Assist cooks (meat/dairy) as directed

  • Maintains a high level of sanitation in the immediate area

  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors

  • Performs other related duties as assigned






Experience & Educational Background:





  • High School Diploma

  • 1-2 years of related experience is required

  • NYC Food Handler Certification preferred

  • Knowledge of Kosher dietary laws is preferred






Skills & Competencies:





  • Good organization skills. Must be able to handle food according to established sanitary guidelines

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Speaks to clients and colleagues in a respectful and thoughtful manner






Salary Range:




Grade 1


1199 New Hire rate: $24.12 and 1199 One Year of Service rate: $24.61
