    Position Overview

    Ho-Ho-Kus Public School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our student support team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a K�8 setting, working collaboratively with educators, families, and specialists to foster student growth and achievement.

    Position Type:  Full -Time, 10-Month, Tenure Track

    Location:  Ho-Ho-Kus Public School, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ

    Reports To:  Director of Special Services

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP goals.
    • Provide direct therapy services in individual and small group settings.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student communication needs.
    • Participate in Child Study Team meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary evaluations.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with NJ state regulations.
    • Consult with and train staff and families on communication strategies and best practices.
    • Assist with the design of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) supports as needed.
    • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive school environment for all learners.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Certification through NJ DOE
    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
    • Experience working with school-age children, including students with diverse learning and communication needs.
    • Knowledge of New Jersey special education law and IEP process.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
    • Experience with AAC devices and assistive technology.
