Business Line:

BL Warehousing Solutions

Target Hire Date:

2026-04-06

What You Can Expect:

  • Execute detailed on-site time studies (e.g., stop-watch, work sampling) and utilize predetermined time systems to define efficient work methods and accurately measure the time required for various warehouse tasks (e.g., picking, packing, receiving, and put away).
  • Analyze current labor utilization data, comparing actual performance against preliminary and established standards to identify variances, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Help develop and document foundational labour standards for core warehouse processes. This includes applying appropriate allowances (e.g., fatigue, unavoidable delays) and validating standards with operational management.
  • Assist the Process Engineer in mapping current-state and future-state workflows, standardizing operating procedures (SOPs), and documenting engineered standards for deployment within a Labour Management System (LMS).
  • Collect, clean, and manage large datasets. Prepare reports and dashboards (utilizing tools like Excel, Power BI, or SQL) to communicate findings, justify standard changes, and track project progress to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma initiatives, Kaizen events, and other projects aimed at eliminating waste and streamlining operational flows across the facility.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related technical field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Engineering principles, including work measurement, time studies, capacity planning, and facility layout.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with tools like Power BI, SQL, or Python is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with front-line workers and management.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently on defined tasks.
