The Opportunity

CW Industries is hiring a skilled Field Mechanic / Fleet & Forklift Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair forklifts, fleet vehicles, and related service equipment. This role works both in the field and from our Long Beach facility, supporting customer sites across the local market.

This is a strong fit for a mechanic who is confident working independently, diagnosing issues efficiently, and keeping equipment operating safely and reliably.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair forklifts, fleet vehicles, and service equipment

• Troubleshoot issues involving:

  • gasoline engines

  • diesel engines

  • propane systems

  • hydraulic systems

  • electrical systems

• Perform preventive maintenance and field repairs at customer locations

• Inspect equipment and identify needed parts for repair

• Document issues clearly and communicate repair needs to internal teams

• Operate a company service van to travel to local job sites

• Return to the Long Beach facility as needed for supplies, equipment, and support

• Help maintain a professional customer experience through timely, accurate service

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience as a mechanic working on fleet vehicles, forklifts, or similar equipment

• Strong diagnostic ability across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Experience servicing gas and diesel equipment

• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision

• Ability to identify repair needs and communicate parts requirements clearly

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company service vehicle

• Reliable work habits, sound judgment, and strong accountability

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working on forklifts or industrial service equipment

• Experience with propane-powered equipment

• Field service experience in a mobile mechanic or fleet service environment

• Familiarity with Southern California service routes and job-site environments

Tools & Equipment

• Mechanics in this role are expected to bring and use their own standard trade tools, including common hand tools and mechanic tool sets.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work is performed both in a shop setting and at customer sites

• Local travel throughout the greater Long Beach / Southern California area is required
