Director of Technology

The Opportunity


Corus is seeking a Director of Technology to lead the IT function for our growing partnership network. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Technology will lead the strategy, operations, and ongoing advancement of Corus’ technology ecosystem across North America.

 

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of the organization’s technology environment while enabling the systems and data infrastructure that support operational excellence across our North American wide network of practices and home office teams. The Director will lead a team of professionals who oversee core functions including IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity and helpdesk services supporting both corporate and clinical environments. The ideal candidate is a strategic, pragmatic leader with a strong technical foundation and a proven ability to balance competing priorities and diverse stakeholder expectations.

 

As Corus continues to grow, this leader will play an important role in strengthening our technology and security capabilities, optimizing our existing systems and processes, and ensuring that technology continues to support high-quality patient care, strong practice operations, and informed decision-making across the organization.

 

This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position from our Toronto office.

What You Will Love Doing

 

Technology Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the development and execution of Corus’ enterprise technology roadmap and strategy, ensuring applications and infrastructure continue to support the organization’s growth and business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the security, performance, and scalability of Corus’ technology stack to meet evolving needs and improve governance.
  • Partner closely with leaders across all teams to ensure technology solutions align with operational expectations and support collaboration across the network.
  • Continuously assess investments, emerging technologies, and vendor relationships to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, business intelligence, cost effectiveness, and team productivity across the organization.

Infrastructure, Systems & Service Delivery

  • Oversee the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of Corus’ technology infrastructure across both corporate and clinical environments.
  • Lead the team responsible for infrastructure, hardware, and enterprise applications to ensure consistent and reliable technology operations across all locations.
  • Ensure strong helpdesk support and service level delivery across the network.
  • Establish and monitor clear metrics, operational standards, and performance indicators aligned with business objectives to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, and software partners to ensure technology solutions deliver value, reliability, and scalability.

Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance

  • Oversee Corus’ cybersecurity strategy to manage risk, maintain governance and enable continued development of security controls.
  • Maintain strong data protections to secure sensitive data including PII and PHI across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations and data protection requirements across Canada and the United States.
  • incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery plans to build organizational resilience.
  • Oversee third-party risk and ensure vendors comply with data protection requirements.

Data & Analytics Enablement

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the organization’s data infrastructure, ensuring integrity, accessibility, accountability, and security of across systems.
  • Partner with leadership teams to strengthen reporting and analytics capabilities that support strategic decision-making and operational insight.
  • Support initiatives that leverage data to improve the patient experience, operational performance, and business outcomes.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing technology team responsible for cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise applications, data, and helpdesk support.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with leaders across the organization to ensure technology initiatives are clearly understood, effectively implemented, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Support the continued growth of the Corus network by ensuring technology infrastructure and systems scale effectively as new practices join the organization.

You bring a strong operational mindset and understand how to build and maintain technology environments that support both reliability and innovation. You are comfortable working across functions, partnering with leaders, and helping teams leverage technology to work more effectively.

You thrive in dynamic and growing organizations and bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on operational leadership.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading technology operations across multi-site or distributed organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure management, enterprise systems, and technology operations in a distributed environment.
  • Strong vendor management experience including contract negotiation and partner performance management.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience supporting high-growth or acquisition-driven organizations considered an asset.
  • Exposure to healthcare, dental, or other regulated industries considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business leaders.
