Job Summary:
Founded in 1964, Thayer Power & Communication Line Construction Co., LLC has established itself as one of the premier contractors in the Telecommunications and Power industries. With our experienced staff and fleet of vehicles, we are able to meet telephone and power construction needs from concept through to reality.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks.
- Read work orders to determine what equipment needs to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials or equipment from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Prepare goods for shipment.
- Receive goods and process data into computerized inventory control systems.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace through proper housekeeping procedures.
- Help maintain an adequate stock.
- Conduct inventory count.
- Operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift while observing safety procedures.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
- Undergo pre-employment screenings, including drug test and background check.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Class A CDL
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous warehouse experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Organize and prioritize tasks.
- Possess Forklift Certification or have ability to obtain upon hire.
- Hazardous materials training and certification.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 -70 pounds.
- Able to work flexible hours (within 2-3 hours of starting and quitting times).
