Overview



The Retail Spirits Representative is responsible for executing high‑impact merchandising, product rotation, and display execution across Superior Beverage Group’s spirits portfolio. This role strengthens retail partnerships, ensures brand visibility, and supports sales growth through consistent, high‑quality in‑store execution.

  • Monday - Friday: Day Shift



Essential Duties and Responsibilities 





  1. Merchandising Execution & Product Rotation 





    • Merchandise all assigned spirits accounts, ensuring shelves, coolers, and displays meet company standards. 




    • Maintain accurate pricing, ensure all labels are faced, and verify compliance with planograms. 




    • Rotate inventory across all points of distribution to maintain freshness and eliminate out‑of‑stocks. 




    • Work “breakers” quickly and efficiently to prevent stock buildup. 




    • Maintain backstock areas in a clean, organized, and accessible condition. 






  2. Display Building & Brand Presentation 





    • Build impactful, compliant, and on‑brand spirits displays that maximize visibility and conversion. 




    • Set up displays for promotional periods, retail features, and new product launches. 




    • Utilize point‑of‑sale materials effectively to enhance brand presence. 




    • Seek opportunities to increase floor space and introduce new or expanded spirits displays. 




    • Ensure display integrity by maintaining structure, cleanliness, and adherence to brand guidelines. 






  3. Retail Account Relationship Management 





    • Build positive, professional relationships with store managers and key retail decision‑makers. 




    • Serve as a trusted consultant, offering merchandising insights and suggesting opportunities to increase spirits sales. 




    • Communicate account needs, issues, and opportunities to the Sales and Merchandising leadership. 




    • Support coordination with drivers, account managers, and sales teams to ensure seamless service. 




    • Maintain a positive and solution-oriented presence in every retail visit. 






  4. Sales & Market Support 





    • Identify and communicate opportunities for incremental spirits of placements, new SKUs, and promotional features. 




    • Monitor competitive activity within assigned accounts and report findings to leadership. 




    • Support sales teams by ensuring merchandising conditions align with brand goals and market strategy. 




    • Assist with point‑of‑sale execution, program displays, and seasonal initiatives. 




    • Provide feedback from retailers to help inform sales strategy and market execution. 






  5. Compliance & Professional Conduct 





    • Ensure all customer service issues are resolved promptly and professionally. 




    • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures. 




    • Complete all required training and certifications as directed. 




    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies related to alcohol sales and distribution. 




    • Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices. 






  6. Organizational Stewardship 





    • Maintain open communication with company leadership and staff to support a collaborative work environment. 




    • Take initiative to understand roles beyond your own to support succession planning and organizational agility.
