    Salary: $68,707 - $135,620 per year (2025-26 SVEA Salary Schedule *2026-27 TBD). Salary range based on 1.0 FTE.

    The Elementary Art Teacher is a highly skilled educator dedicated to fostering artistic literacy and creative expression across two school buildings. This role works with building administrators to provide high-quality visual arts instruction that aligns with Washington State Arts Learning Standards and SVSD School Improvement Plans (SIP). The teacher focuses on the whole child by engaging all learning styles and developing essential 21st-century skills, including creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. This position requires flexibility in managing schedules and resources across multiple sites to ensure a seamless and equitable arts experience for all students. The Elementary Art Teacher is shared between 2 buildings, serving students every other week within the Specialist Rotation Schedule at each school. For complete details, please see attached job description.

    • Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*
    • Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
    • Paid Holidays: This position is not eligible for paid holidays.
    • Paid Time Off: Certificated employees receive 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days each school year. Sick leave and discretionary personal leave days are based on scheduled hours and position start date.
