Summary
The operations project manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects assigned. Monitoring project progress, setting deadlines, and solving issues for different teams to execute the projects. Oversee the day-to-day projects tasks, and activities, including organizing and overseeing the schedules and work of assigned Teams, conducting project status evaluations that are timely, directing team members, managing resources, ensuring the project is delivered on time, and meeting company KPIs and customer’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Partners with different stakeholders & Cross-functional teams to identify project tasks, define activities, and lead project initiatives.
- Good understating of customers’ expectations and deliverables with awareness of SMS operational impact in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Identifies risks in project schedules and proactively plans/coordinates contingencies with different teams.
- Manages day-to-day operational project aspects and scope, using PM tools & skills sets.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately and responsible for cross-checking & confirming equipment.
- Create projects Gantt charts and schedules and manage project issues with different teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Communicate effectively with customers and all associated in-house participants of different projects.
- Strong work ethic with an ability to manage workload while efficiently and effectively prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations, and resolves or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Establish purchasing timeline & receiving schedule with the Engineering Team, and Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Connect with operations & other Cross-Functional teams to set up construction expansion at SMS.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, QA, Materials, and, Continuous improvement teams to implement OP’s improvements.
