Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to help get a new school off the ground. South County SELPA will be operating a new school to provide critical resources to students with behavioral and mental challenges, ensuring that these students receive the specialized support they need to thrive academically and socially. With an emphasis on PBIS, trauma informed, and restorative practices, the school will offer tailored interventions that address each student's unique needs.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for the current vacancy.
About South County SELPA
The South County SELPA coordinates special education program development and student placements for more than 13,000 students from birth through age 22. We operate in the southern region of San Diego County and member districts include the elementary and high school districts of Coronado, Chula Vista, National, San Ysidro, South Bay, Sweetwater and San Diego County Office of Education programs.

- One of the following valid California Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing:
- Education Specialist Credential with authorization in Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) OR
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology
- Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification (Required)
