Job Description

***GRANBURY ISD requires three references from former employers, college professors, supervisors, etc. with at least a minimum of two references being from previous supervisors.  Granbury ISD will not accept references from friends or family members.***

PRIMARY PURPOSE:


 


Provide intervention instruction for students and serve as a case manager in supporting and monitoring intervention across the campus.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


 


              Education/Certification:


              Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate


 


              Special Knowledge/Skills:


              Knowledge of Texas Essential Skills and Knowledge (TEKS)


              Knowledge of interpretation of test scores and data


              Knowledge of effective teaching practices for ELL students and At-Risk students


              Knowledge of human development and learning theories


              Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills


 


              Experience:


              Three to five years of education experience


 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


 


Instructional Strategies/Mentoring/Teaching



  1. Plan, develop, and implement student intervention



  1. Monitor at -risk student performance data and provide feedback to students, teachers, principal and Instructional Specialist.



  1. Applies the finding of student data from a variety of sources and implements those findings into an effective program specific to individual students’ intervention.



  1. Prepare ideas, tools, and activities that reflect accommodations for individual student content needs according to data from formal and informal assessments.



  1. Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by Texas Education Agency, board policy, and administrative guidelines.



  1. Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs of students assigned



  1. Conduct content based and/or formative based assessments. Monitor the results, and provide intervention for individual students



  1. Work cooperatively with other educators to accommodate curricula as needed for specific needs of individual students



  1. Meet regularly with classroom teachers and identified students to update and inform specific and individual goals.

  1. Maintain accurate records to demonstrate student growth at a minimum of every three weeks.



  1. Use technologies in the teaching learning process.



  1. Collaborates with individual students for the purpose of improving quality student outcomes.



  1. Present a positive role model for students the supports the mission of the school district.

   14. Provides a bridge for effective two-way communication with administrators, teachers and staff using professional learning communities. (PLC)


 


   15. Ensures that campus goals and objectives are developed with the involvement of principals, teachers, parents and/or students, when appropriate.


 


   16. Demonstrates skill in conflict resolution with administrators, teachers, staff, and /or students and serves as part of the MTSS (RtI) Team


 


School/Organizational Improvement


 


 


   17. Appropriately uses student achievement data in interpreting, reporting, and acting on results


 


   18. Makes regular classroom visits; confers with staff to discuss student performance; jointly develops improvement objectives and lesson plans in serving at-risk students.

  1. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, their parents, classroom teachers, staff, and leadership.



  1. Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members.



  1. Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.


 


Policy Implementation


 



  1. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.



  1. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
