Job Description

As a Building Automation Controls Technician at Gardiner, you’ll work on the controls side of HVAC systems—helping create smarter, more efficient buildings while being part of a team that values collaboration, technical expertise, and doing things the right way.

Essential Functions include the following: other duties may be assigned:

  • Install, service, and troubleshoot building automation and HVAC control systems
  • Use hand tools, software, and system diagnostics to identify issues and complete repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to support system installation and service
  • Program, modify, and optimize control sequences to improve system performance and meet customer needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and site surveys
  • Partner with internal teams and customers to support system functionality and overall performance
  • Document work performed, system changes, and service activity accurately

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical training in HVAC, electronics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3+ years of experience with HVAC controls, building automation systems, or related field experience
  • Experience with building automation platforms such as Tridium Niagara is a plus
  • Strong understanding of control systems, programming logic, and system integration
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, and technical documents
  • Comfortable using computers, software tools, and mobile devices for service and documentation
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
