Duties & Responsibilities:




  • Work up and room patients

  • Assist a full-time physician with office visits and procedures. 

  • Turn around / clean and stock exam rooms. 

  • Triage patient calls and route / handle appropriately per physician orders. 

  • Process lab, radiology and referral requests per physician orders. 



Qualifications:  




  • Medical Assistant certification from either AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required.

  • Must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.

  • The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience. 

  • Or a graduate of a surgical technician program is required; Certified Surgical Techs preferred.  If you graduated after 1/1/08 you must be certified.  All candidates that graduated prior to 1/1/08 will be eligible for consideration. Medical office experience preferred.  Computer proficiency required, use of electronic health record (Epic) preferred.  Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.
