Job Description

Duties

EPGMS Middle School Math Teacher

  • Provide appropriate grade level math instruction to classes ranging from 14-25 students. Teacher is responsible for implementation of district selected curriculum with fidelity.
  • Work with grade level co-teacher to ensure all accommodations/modifications for instruction of students with special needs are met.
  • Meet monthly with math department to discuss curriculum planning, learning goals, and student achievement.
  • Meet monthly with grade level team to ensure uniformity across grade level.
  • Responsible for running math intervention groups for Tier II/III students during RTI block.
  • Other duties as assigned by administration during contractual hours.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to teach students in middle school math in IL, or have a specific plan and timeline to obtain licensure while under a provisional license. 

Salary/Benefits

  • Starting salary base 2025-26 SY of $45,500 (9% TRS included) for a first year teacher, additional salary paid for experience and education level as laid out in the EPG Collective Bargaining Agreement CBA 
  • EPG's existing 4 year CBA will expire at the end of the 25-26 SY. We will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 25-26 SY.
