Job Title: Floor Technician
Location: Peachtree Hills Place – Atlanta, GA

Position Summary
The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of flooring surfaces throughout the Independent Living community at Peachtree Hills Place. This role ensures a safe, polished, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and team members by delivering high-quality floor care services in alignment with community standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine and periodic floor care duties including:
* Stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing hard surface floors
* Carpet cleaning (extraction, shampooing, spot treatment)
* Burnishing and maintaining high-traffic areas
* Maintain cleanliness and appearance of hallways, common areas, and amenity spaces within Independent Living
* Operate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, extractors, vacuums, etc.) safely and efficiently
* Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines
* Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns (e.g., damaged flooring, trip hazards)
* Assist with special projects such as deep cleaning, move-ins/move-outs, and event setup/breakdown
* Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption to members
* Maintain inventory of supplies and notify leadership when restocking is needed
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and IHEART values
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Previous experience in floor care, housekeeping, or environmental services preferred (especially in healthcare or senior living)
* Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment strongly preferred
* Ability to operate floor machinery safely and effectively
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time management and reliability
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Ability to push/pull equipment and carts
* Must be able to work in various environmental conditions (wet floors, cleaning chemicals, etc.)
