    Position Overview

    Carlstadt Public School is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Long-Term Leave Replacement Teacher to join our 4th-grade team. The successful candidate will assume full classroom responsibilities, ensuring instructional continuity and a supportive learning environment during the permanent teacher's absence.     Key Responsibilities

    • Instructional Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Health, and Social Studies aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).

    • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and mutual respect.

    • Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and ELL designations.

    • Assessment & Reporting: Grade assignments, maintain accurate records of student progress, and utilize data to inform instruction.

    • Professional Collaboration: Participate in grade-level meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development sessions.

    • Communication: Maintain open and professional lines of communication with parents, guardians, and administration regarding student performance and well-being.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Certification: Must hold a valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate: Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6.

    • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

    • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with instructional technology (e.g., Google Classroom, Chromebooks, and interactive whiteboards).

    • Background: Successful completion of the Criminal History Review (fingerprinting) and employment verification required by NJ law.

    Preferred Attributes

    • Experience teaching 4th grade or upper elementary levels.

    • Strong understanding of balanced literacy and inquiry-based math instruction.

    • Ability to seamlessly transition into an existing curriculum and maintain established classroom routines.
