Maintenance Supervisor
Essex Elementary School
Summary: A Maintenance Supervisor position is available at Essex Elementary School. This is a full time, 12-month position May 26, 2026. The successful candidate must have considerable knowledge of methods & practices in the care and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This individual must have the ability to plan, schedule, and direct the activities of custodial and maintenance staff and must have the ability to maintain cooperative relationships. In addition to supervising the department, this individual must have the ability and will be required to directly participate in the maintenance of the building. They must also have strong managerial and leadership skills. 5 years of experience in building management is preferred, however candidates of all levels of experience and education are encouraged to apply.
Education experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience in a building maintenance position is desirable. Certification in HVAC, electrical, carpentry or plumbing preferred.
Anticipated Salary: $75,000 to $85,000, based on experience
Supervisor: Building Principal, District Facilities Director
Works under the general supervision of the Principal and the District Facilities Director, who outlines general policies, assigns duties and reviews work for conformance with required standards. Works with considerable independence, establishing priorities within work assignments.
