Role Summary:
The Assembly Supervisor directs activities within the operations team as it relate to production, inventory management, and quality. These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays from 7am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Responsible and accountable for assembly operations
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence tools
- Monitor and maintain statistical process control
- Oversee production planning and scheduling
- Manage KPIs, including utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, and rework
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving using Lean manufacturing principles
- Develop and implement policies and procedures as needed
- Onboard and train new hires
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Supervisory experience within an assembly environment
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies
Preferred:
BS or BA Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Engineering
Experience with ISO-9001
