Autoliv’s primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance—so we never compromise on quality. System complexity is increasing. Autoliv needs to shift from project‑specific solutions to platform‑based reuse while balancing safety, cost, manufacturability, and sustainability—starting with early architectural decisions. As Director System Architecture & Platforms, you will ensure Autoliv’s next‑generation safety systems are architected as coherent physical–digital platforms, integrating mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software domains into globally scalable, manufacturable, and future‑ready solutions.
What you will lead
· Own and lead end‑to‑end system and platform architecture across mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software domains.
· Drive the transition from local/project designs to platform reuse across regions and product lines.
· Establish architecture governance, standardized interfaces, decision rights, and platform KPIs.
· Lead cross‑domain trade‑offs to prevent local optimization and enable quality, industrialization, and lifecycle performance. [
· Sponsor proof‑of‑concept initiatives and shape technology roadmaps aligned with product and platform strategies.
Key deliverables
· Integrated system/platform architectures across domains
· System‑level interface control and architectural decision records
· Platform governance models and KPIs
What you bring
· Strong people leader who can influence, align, and inspire senior engineering teams.
· Strong system‑thinking mindset with credibility across engineering disciplines.
· Extensive experience in systems engineering, product development, and Hardware/Software integration. Preferably from an OEM perspective.
· Proven ability to lead in complex, global matrix organizations.
· Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems, or equivalent).
At Autoliv, your decisions shape not only products, but how teams collaborate to deliver scalable, industrialized innovation that saves lives—every day.
