Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN), Rehabilitation Unit

Job Type: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE or 72 hours/pp

Schedule: 6 x 12-hour shifts, Nights (7p-7a), Rotating weekends and holidays

 

$7,500 Sign-On Bonus available to qualified applicants

Inpatient Rehab is a 16‑bed specialty unit caring for patients focused on regaining independence through coordinated therapy and nursing support. While many patients are less acute, the nursing team is skilled in providing acute Med/Surg care when needed. The team is deeply committed to patient safety, independence, and collaboration, and is frequently recognized by patients for its positive, friendly, and supportive atmosphere.

How you'll contribute

Rehab RN who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
  • Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
  • Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
  • Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s preferred). 

 

Additional requirements include

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
