Anchor Academy is a best-in-class early care and education program that offers more than a "daycare" for our student by focusing on developing 21st-century skills for all early learners. Through age appropriate programing, Anchor Academy serves children age 12 months to 12 years. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for the supervision and care of a class of Infants (12 months - 24 months age) in accord with the goals and curriculum plan of Anchor Academy. The principal duties of the Infant Teacher include: conducting focused observations of children, developing action plans, carrying out activities on a daily basis and evaluating the effectiveness of child development activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, maintaining regular communication with parents, and contributing to the effective operation of the overall early care and education center. The Infant Teacher reports to the Center Director and Assistant Director.

• High School Diploma
• Relevant childcare experience
• High energy!
• Self starter and good leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
• Must clear full background check
• Needs to get DCF mandated 45 hours
• Needs to get CDA or a DCF staff credential
