Join Tracerco's Digital team within Product Development & Innovation as a Data Analyst/Power BI Developer. Transform complex data into strategic insights that drive decision-making from operations to the boardroom. Reporting to the Data Lead, you'll design and maintain Power BI dashboards that power our data-driven culture and support our innovation goals in the oil and gas industry. This role offers autonomy, high-impact projects, and the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Job requirements

  • Demonstrable working experience in data analytics or business intelligence
  • Expert-level Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, data modelling)
  • Strong SQL proficiency for data extraction, manipulation, and optimisation
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems
  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation principles and BI architecture
  • Familiarity with data governance and quality assurance practices

Job responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise Power BI dashboards using data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other      internal systems
  • Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Project Management teams to deliver actionable      insights
  • Design efficient ETL processes and manage data from multiple sources including SQL databases and APIs
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through robust validation and governance practices
  • Present findings and strategic insights to stakeholders at all levels, including board-level reporting
  • Continuously improve existing reports and data processes for accuracy, performance, and usability
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline data workflows
  • Support best practices for data management, governance, and visualisation standards
  • Take ownership of data projects from concept through to delivery and user adoption.
