The Admissions Director will be responsible for promoting the NCC mission in all service delivery, ensuring quality, professionalism and efficiency of the services provided. Responsibilities include maintain the daily facility census via electronic format. Interview potential residents, tour prospective referrals and their family members. Follow-up with applicants, participate in networking/open house activities, ensure appropriate ICD-9/ICD-10 codes are maintained and submit enrollment activity reports. The AC will be a liaison between all parties involved in the authorization of benefits for admissions and imputing data into Electronic Medical Record (EMR). In addition the AC will be responsible for providing daily supervision of all External Case Managers/Marketers (ECM) and function as the team lead for the Admissions.
Responsibilities
- Provide the screening of individuals who need admission in to Extended Care facility by monitoring all admission activities and providing supervision to ECMs.
- Serve as primary contact person for the Admissions Team when working with or responding to inquiries from applicants, residents and family members, staff, hospitals, other institutions and NCC Management
- Obtains applicant information by requesting completed applications and medical information; verifying and clarifying information; interviewing patients and family members; explaining admission criteria
- Prepare and submit timely admissions reports; daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end to the Administrator, Finance Department and any other required party.
- Monitor the level of service and evaluation of all program components and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
- Maintain admission guidelines by writing, updating, and recommending changes to admission criteria, policies and procedures.
- Leads marketing efforts of Extended Care by providing informational brochures; sourcing leads; placing advertisements; answering questions and conducting tours, visiting hospitals, physicians, MCOs
- Admits residents by completing admission agreement and financial responsibility forms such as Medicaid and other insurance related forms in a timely manner but not more than 48 hours; advise supervisor or Extended Care Controller if a problem arises in this area.
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Five (5) or more years of working in a the health care related facility, preferably with experience in the Admissions process. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
