Summary: Our Clinical Therapists are pivotal in delivering integrated mental health and substance abuse services to a diverse clientele, including both adults and youth. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance-related disorders using a range of evidence-based therapies. Your expertise will help tailor individualized treatment plans that address the unique challenges of each client, contributing significantly to their recovery and their overall well-being.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates strong clinical judgement in assessments, application of diagnostic criteria, clinical formulations, and sound triage decisions
- Performs thorough biopsychosocial assessment and develops and implements client-driven treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques suited to client needs and goals.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to understand client needs and challenges.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health conditions such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, and more.
- Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments.
- Maintain confidential records of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Submit all clinical documentation within 48 hours of completing the service.
- Prepare discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, APRNs, case managers, and community resources, to coordinate care and advocate for client needs.
- Participate in regular team multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences to discuss cases, share clinical insight, and enhance treatment strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and coping mechanisms.
- All other clinical tasks within reason are assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Current, valid state licensure as a clinical psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Associate licensure (LMSW, LAPC,AMFT).
- Minimum of two years of experience in clinical therapy, with demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment and treatment.
- Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a therapeutic alliance and work effectively with diverse populations.
- Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to all professional and legal confidentiality guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
