    Job Description

    Transportation Secretary

    The transportation secretary will impact the educational process by maintaining a well organized office within the transportation department.

    Qualifications

    The secretary must have a high school diploma and previous secretarial and office experience. Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite is preferred. He/she must possess superior typing and computer skills. Business courses would be beneficial. The secretary must have excellent communication skills.

    The secretary will report directly to the Director of Transportation.

    Duties

    Perform work as secretary to the Director of Transportation.
    Perform correspondence typing and filing.
    Maintain staff time, attendance, and personnel records and file monthly reports.
    Answer phone and direct calls.
    Greet all visitors to the building
    Keep abreast of supplies for office and order when needed.
    Record and monitor all purchase orders.
    Monitor and maintain operation and maintenance of copiers, drinks, and snack machines.
    Maintain the transportation inventory.
    Assist with processing hardship waivers, routing inquires, basic routing, and trip requests and planning
    Perform any other duties requested by the Director of Transportation.
