Your Contribution 


 


As a Senior Benefits Analyst reporting to the Head of Non-Monetary Benefits NA, you will be responsible to provide  support  for  a  broad  range  of strategic and operational human resources management topics. Core responsibilities will include  design  and  administration  of  health  and  welfare  benefits  within  the  North America region


 


This role is responsible to:



  • Support in the design and administration of health and welfare benefit plans such as: health plans (medical, dental, and vision), short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), life insurance, MAHLE wellness plan, etc.

  • Manage inquiries from employees and human resources colleagues related to health and welfare benefits. This includes researching various problems or situations and providing a response/resolution. Identify patterns of problems and work with internal teams or external vendors to correct.

  • Proactively work to improve processes and communication surrounding the health and welfare program. Recommend ways to enhance and improve the program.

  • Support   manager   and   benefits   team   in   vendor   searches,   comparison   and evaluations.

  • Act as a SAP key business user for the benefit info types. Create and analyze numerous benefit  program  reports.  Work  closely  with  HRIS  team  for  matters regarding benefit program set up and data.

  • Propose and implement health and welfare programs.

  • Create employee communications, presentations, and newsletters regarding benefit plan changes, enhancements, and highlights of programs.

  • Manage the annual open enrollment process. Communicate plan changes to human resources colleagues and employees.

  • Monitor and review cost development of plans. Research high cost scenarios to determine root cause.

  • Keep abreast of changes to legislation that may impact employers or health plans.

  • Participate in benefit surveys.

  • Support with federal and state regulation compliance, including the Family Medical Leave  Act  (FMLA),  Americans  with  Disabilities  Act  (ADA),  Health  Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Affordable Care Act (ACA), etc.

  • All other duties and projects as assigned.



 


Your Experience & Qualifications 


 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent related experience

  • 7+  years previous or related experience

  • Ability to identify and solve problems, to work within deadlines with a high attention to detail, and to work independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with all levels of employees, including human resources colleagues and senior level management and/or executives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery

  • Must have broad, basic understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws

  • Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office, particularly Excel

  • HRIS experience is required, SAP experience preferred

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and qualitative skills

  • Prior background in human resources consulting or insurance is desirable

  • CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
