Job Description

Location:  LA and other various project locations in TX

Project Duration: Estimated March 2026 - October 2026

We are seeking experienced Ironworkers to support structural steel erection and installation. This role is responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, and securing structural steel components in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. For additional project specifications please apply and a recruiter will be in contact with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and structural plans

  • Assemble and erect structural steel frameworks, columns, beams, and girders

  • Install metal decking, bracing systems, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metals

  • Align and plumb steel members using levels, laser tools, and rigging equipment

  • Bolt, weld, and secure steel components according to specifications

  • Signal crane operators during lifts and guide steel members into place

  • Operate lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment as required

  • Perform connecting, decking, and detail work at heights

  • Maintain compliance with all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements

  • Participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

  • Ability to wear required PPE including fall protection (harnesses, lanyards), hard hats, gloves, steel-toed boots, eye protection, and possible respirator protection depending on tasks

  • Ability to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and work at elevated heights

  • Capable of working 40+ hours per week, including overtime and varying shifts as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of ironworking experience in industrial construction

  • NCCER Ironworker Certification

  • TWIC card

  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings

  • Proficient in bolting, connecting, decking, and rigging

  • Comfortable working at heights and outdoor in varying weather conditions

  • Knowledge of proper rigging techniques and load signaling

  • Strong understanding of fall protection systems
