Job Summary:

This role is responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden components used in the production of various products. The position requires proficiency with basic hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of common woodworking techniques such as jointing, sawing, laminating, and drilling. Team members are typically assigned to a specific area within the manufacturing plant but may collaborate across departments as needed. Additional tasks may be assigned based on production demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build wood products to design and quality specifications
  • Use a variety of woodworking techniques
  • Use various hand equipment to prepare products
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace/shop
  • Work with build documents and basic drawings

Experience and Education:

  • High School or GED
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of proper woodworking techniques, such as jointing, sawing, laminating, and drilling
  • Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
  • Ability to add and subtract fractions
  • Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed
  • Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work
  • Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit
