Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED

 

Terms of Employment: Daily contracted services for the current school year.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of the students.


• Implement effective lessons in the absence of the regular instructor.


• Ensure the Dalhart ISD policies are observed during all activities.


• Create a safe classroom environment that is condusive to learning.


• Review notes for the day, take attendance and follow the lesson plan of the teacher.


• Maintain confidentiality.


• Demonstrate the ability to adapt to circumstances.  Exhibit good judgment, use of appropriate language and behavior while on assignment.


• Report to duty 30 minutes prior to assignment and remain on duty for the entire assignment, including planning time of the teacher.


• Take all necessary precautions to protect students.


• Other duties as ssigned by the Principal, or the Teacher.

 

 

 

 

All substitute applicants must be fingerprinted by the state approved vendor.
