West 1 is a 25 bed Medical/Surgical and Telemetry Unit caring for patients with general and complex medical and surgical needs, often serving those with serious health issues. The skilled and compassionate nursing staff take care of approximately 20 patients each day along with an expert Hospitalist Team.

Job Purpose:

The role of a Registered Nurse is to comply with CHA Service Standards for welcoming patients. The qualified RN will provide quality care to our patients on an inpatient medical/surgical/telemetry unit. In this fast-paced environment, you will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care as well as communicate with patients, families and other health team members effectively. Implementing core measures as indicated. Applicants should possess excellent communication, assessment, documentation and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize as well as a commitment to work with a culturally diverse population. 


Qualifications/Experience: 

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current MA RN Licensure. 

BSN Preferred 

Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required. 

1 year telemetry experience is preferred. 

Proficiency in telemetry and ability to independently interpret telemetry strips required by the end of orientation.
