Lead the effort to hire and develop a highly competent team of Technical Service Engineers (TSE) in support of MO Engineering strategic initiatives. Maximize TSE productivity for both new and existing team members. Responsible as the primary point of contact for coordination of TSE activities and projects.

What You’ll Do
Recruit, hire and train (My Contribution/ My Development) Technical Support Engineers (TSE) to develop highly competent back office engineers, while filling the pipe line for future Market Organization Field Engineers (FE).
Increase the productivity of TSE by evaluating and improving personnel, process, and procedures.
Work with product Business Units (BU) and Technical Business Development team to verify that the most current, accurate technical information is understood and used by TSE.
Using sound engineering judgment and effective business planning coordinate TSE activities in accordance with the primary objectives of increased customer engagement and limitation of Hilti’s liability.
Develop and implement specific project or programs in support of MO Engineering as agreed with the Director, Engineering Support and Special Projects including proper execution of Account Development
Review (ADR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Manage with MO Technical Director the flow of talent from TSE to field roles and vice versa.
Schedule field rides with TSE during open territory coverage to develop FE competencies.
Plan and conduct meetings as required to assure one voice in the execution of planned activities.
Manage the TSE team costs within budget constraints.
Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across three core services supporting Marketing organizations, including decking design submittals, technical customer email responses, and technical phone support.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management required. – Architectural, Civil or Mechanical preferred.
Ability to coach, train and delegate in an effective, professional manner.
Ability to solve problems and make timely decisions in an environment requiring multi-tasking.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Software proficiency including word, access, excel, power point.
5 years’ experience in Engineering or related technical field required.
Registered Professional Engineer preferred
