Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Shift Supervisor at our manufacturing plant in Hot Springs, AR.

Your Role:

As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Supervise Casting operations to fulfill plant production requirements by ensuring that equipment, scrap, and labor performance objectives are met.
  • Support and promote EHS principles to ensure safe operations by reviewing accident reports and directing corrective actions.
  • Control cost in production areas and participate in cost reduction projects.
  • Instill continuous improvement philosophy through the use of statistical process control methodology.
  • Meet or exceed process, production and quality standards for metal production. Ensure that Supervisors and employees know and follow established production and quality standards.
  • Providing prioritized direction and technical expertise to the casting staff or contractors in implementing improvement projects, while adhering to RPC safety expectations.
  • Establishing and maintaining communications, reporting, assessments, training programs and guidance necessary to ensure that the Casting Supervisors are fully informed about all Company policies in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and develop casting supervisors utilizing regular evaluation and feedback techniques.
  • Assist in maintaining good labor relations with unionized workforce. Ensure that labor agreements are followed and participate in grievance procedure.
  • Take steps necessary to assure that all employment practices under his or her control, including hiring, firing, promotions, demotions and discipline are conducive so as to comply with equal employment opportunity laws and Company policy with regards to sex, religion, national origin, age and physical disabilities.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
  • Be able to successfully blend raw materials to meet product grade specifications
  • Ability to safely and accurately operate precision test equipment

We need you to have:

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of related professional and progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a unionized facility.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • A commitment to excellence and continuous improvement with experience in various continuous improvement process and initiative (5S, Value Stream, Six Sigma).
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
