Position Summary:
We are seeking an Compliance Manager to support the company’s regulatory compliance program, ensuring manufacturing, distribution, and business operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Gun Control Act, National Firearms Act (NFA), and ATF requirements. This role assists the Compliance Manager in overseeing Federal Firearms License (FFL) activities, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a secondary point of contact for government agencies. The best candidate for this position would be highly organized, detail-driven, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, policies, and procedures to meet ATF and NFA regulations.
- Support audits of Acquisition & Disposition (A&D) bound books, firearms serialization processes, and inventory control systems.
- Prepare, track, and submit ATF and NFA forms (Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) in coordination with the Compliance Manager.
- Provide support during ATF inspections, audits, and investigations.
- Help maintain and renew company FFLs and Special Occupational Taxpayer (SOT) registrations on time.
- Assist in identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective action plans for violations or findings.
- Work closely with manufacturing, R&D, shipping, and sales teams to ensure operational compliance.
- Monitor changes in firearms laws and report relevant updates to the Compliance Manager.
- Participate in internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance training programs.
- Support and supervise compliance team members, including associates and coordinators.
- Maintain secure and organized compliance documentation, including NFA records and serialized inventory files.
