Summary

The NERC CIP Reliability Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive NERC CIP Reliability Compliance Program by establishing required plans, schedules, procedures, tools, and processes.  Support the planning and delivery of training and communications to ensure personnel understand and comply with all NERC CIP requirements.  Assist with program development activities, including gap analyses, mock audits, audit participation, and ongoing compliance training, while fostering a strong culture of compliance. Additionally, it represents Gridforce in interactions with clients and business partners.

Primary Duties

  • Develop and implement plans, schedules, procedures, tools and processes required to establish and maintain a comprehensive NERC CIP Reliability Compliance Program.
  • Assist in the planning, development, and execution of training programs designed to ensure compliance with NERC CIP Compliance Program requirements.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of communication documents to promulgate information related to the NERC CIP Compliance Program to ensure that personnel are knowledgeable of all requirements.
  • Assist in the performance of the NERC CIP Compliance Program development, gap analysis, mock audits, audit participation, and training of personnel.
  • Plan, develop, and execute programs designed to ensure a culture of compliance with personnel.
  • Represent Gridforce with clients and business partners.

Compensation

The initial compensation will range from $107,300 to $123,400

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Years of Experience:
    • Five years of experience with NERC CIP High/Medium Impact.
    • Experience analyzing large amounts of technical data and structure such information for the purpose of clearly documenting and demonstrating compliance with all applicable NERC CIP Reliability Compliance standards.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience with project scheduling and budgeting.
    • Experience in compliance, specifically in the electric industry environment, including program implementation, and standard review and analysis.
  • Licenses/Certification:
  • Software/Equipment Knowledge: Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office suite
  • Other Considerations:
    • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills and an ability to communicate information in both formal and informal settings.
    • Able to formulate and communicate thoughts and idea developed in an engineering context into cogent operational guidance for plant personnel.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of safe and acceptable practices and principles.
    • Thorough knowledge of English composition principles and technical and non-technical vocabulary.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Normal working hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended hours may be required based on specific requirements. Work is performed in an established office environment with standard lighting. Ability to lift items up to 20-50 lbs., such as boxes or equipment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing for tasks like presentations. Occasional travel may be required for meetings or training sessions.

Fit for Duty

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
