We are seeking Electrical Apprentices/Helpers for our operations in West Texas, specifically in Pecos, Texas. We prefer local candidates but will consider helpers willing to work on a 2:1 rotation or M-F schedule. You can expect at least 50-60 hours of work per week. This is a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to handle the weather conditions in West Texas.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

·        Assist in installing the power supply and automation wiring.

·       Help install conduit, including Rigid Metal Conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable tray.

·       Aid in troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.

·       Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, and power supplies.

·       Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.

·       Trace short circuits in wiring with a test meter.

·       Inspect electrical units for loose connections and damaged insulation, and tighten connections with hand tools.

·       Build controllers and panels using power drills, taps, saws, and punches.

·       Maintain a clean work area, truck, and trailer.

·       Service tools, vehicles, equipment, and keep parts and supplies organized.

 

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

·       Current Texas Apprentice License (Company will help set up if required)

·       Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)

·       Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred

·       Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)

·       Good communication skills

·       Basic math skills

·       Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information)

·       Must have clean driving record

 

Education:

·       High school diploma or equivalent
