At Fence Outlet, our customers will find everything they need for a do-it-yourself project, or we offer full service professional installation.
Fence Outlet is in need of an Assistant Outside Sales Manager for our store locations in Central Florida! Primary location is Orlando, FL.
Assistant Outside Sales Manager – will be responsible for working with all levels of management, including owner, managers, and supervisors within the Company. Position will require daily interaction with all of our Outside Sales staff at all of our locations with a primary focus on training and personal development.
The position is Monday – Friday 8am-5pm but some Saturdays may be required. This position will require traveling to each store in a company provided vehicle.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assistant Outside Sales Manager will assist on interviewing staff in collaboration with store management, assess your team weekly to determine skillset levels and where performance action is required.
- Supports the Sales Manager in managing daily sales activities and administrative tasks.
- Serve as a key point of contact between the Residential Sales team and customers, ensuring accurate, timely communication.
- Provide technical assistance with sales applications, CRM systems, quoting tools, and other software used by the sales team.
- Assist managing the onboarding for new Sales team members by preparing training materials.
- Compile, analyze, and maintain accurate sales data and reporting dashboards.
- Ensure all compliance records and documentation are complete, organized, and up to date.
- Identify trends and flag irregularities or concerns to Sales Management.
- Support ongoing training initiatives and resources to help the team improve performance and product knowledge.
- Support troubleshooting and escalate as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Follow up with customers for needed documentation, clarifications, and status updates.
- Relay critical information between internal team members to reduce delays and improve coordination.
- Prepare and organize sales materials, proposals, contracts, and project documentation.
- Help obtain required documents from customers, vendors, or internal teams to progress fencing projects (e.g., permits, property details).
Requirements
- Computer proficiency, with ability to work in MS Office based programs and Internal Sales Program - Sales Pad
- Human Resources management skills in employee relations, recruiting and retention and employee recognition.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for clear client and internal interaction.
- Time management and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM or project management systems.
- Customer service orientation with professional demeanor.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate needs.
EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years prior experience in a like or similar position.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with residential fencing products, construction terminology, or field operations is a plus.
- Understanding of compliance requirements and documentation standards.
- Prior experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative coordination preferred.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and sales tools strongly preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to continuously see. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color. Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis
- Satisfactory Driving record; must possess a valid driver’s license and drive to and from work locations.
- Must be able to travel as required for company business.
- As needed work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays.
