Summary:
The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our manufacturing systems, business systems, and data from cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and industrial control systems, with a focus on both business and manufacturing environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
- Collaborate with IT and OT engineering teams to secure network architecture.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and provide detailed reports.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
- Work with cybersecurity vendors and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) to enhance security measures and manage outsourced security services.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources to identify potential threats.
- Perform daily checks on security systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Review and update access controls and permissions for users and systems.
- Maintain and update security documentation and incident logs.
- Coordinate with the IT team to apply security patches and updates to systems and software.
- Perform routine audits of network and system configurations to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees on security-related issues.
