Position Description
In the position of Business Management and Operations, you will be responsible for planning and executing on key strategic and business initiatives for the Capital Partners (CP) business. Initiatives will cover multiple risk and support functions, and will frequently be focused on new revenue generation. This particular position requires a skilled Project Manager/Business Analyst with a strong track record of developing functional knowledge. The role is multi-faceted and requires the candidate to manage projects, including conducting thorough Front to Back analysis, documenting business requirements, driving the impact assessment, and working with front office, support and risk management functions to define testing and implementing plans. Being able to manage a large variety of stakeholder’s front to back and efficiently communicate progress to them is key.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Engage CP business stakeholders and liaise with senior representatives across regions to translate data requests into actionable insights for decision-making.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks; manage regulatory and operation approvals, board meeting materials, and periodic operational risk reviews in coordination with risk/support functions.
Drive business initiatives, strategic project priorities, and budgeting efforts; manage deal and operation projects, change initiatives, and fundraising activities, including investor onboarding and due diligence.
Oversee development/ enhancement of private equity fund, single project fund and deal lifecycle systems; liaise with internal/external parties on relevant control matters to ensure operational efficiency.
Facilitate cross-region meetings and updates; prepare agendas, minutes, dashboards, reports, presentations, and maintain organized records of actions and decisions.
Develop and monitor investment team performance frameworks with business leaders; support and improve people management processes to strengthen team performance.
Prepare management reports and liaise with head office on strategic planning, new business implementation, and alignment with corporate objectives.
Identify and implement process improvements; support special projects, initiatives, operation workflow review and ad hoc tasks to enhance operational effectiveness across regions.
Requirements
Postgraduate holder with CPA, ACCA and/or legal qualifications would be preferred.
At least 7 years’ relevant experience in a Private Equity (PE) funds or buy-side industry, previous serve as the point of contact with COO and Business Management teams, or working in control function or executive office is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success in delivering initiatives on time through strong planning, processing, analytical, organisational and communication skills (verbal and written).
Commercial Acumen with strong analytic skills with ability to assimilate complex information.
Ability to develop excellent relationships and manage / influence both internal / external stakeholders / management for the best outcome for the business across various seniority within a large organization.
Strong cultural awareness with fluent in written and spoken Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Specifically, strong Chinese and English report-writing skills with ability to clearly and concisely communicate detailed information and critical concepts.
