Job Description

Description

To be a successful Success Coach you must become able to do the following always:

  1. Helps youth self-manage their behavior by using SCM (Safe Crisis Management) without the need for the use of emergency safety interventions, by using an approach focused on resiliency and recovery.
  2. Monitor and document client arrival and departure. Ensure safe, age-appropriate learning and activities for clients. Communicate with Permanency Services Teams to coordinate medication administration and pick-up. Assist in monitoring the transportation department.  
  3. Maintain client medication and attendance logs and safety sheets monthly for a report.
  4. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.

How you will spend your time in this job:

  • 70% Models for and teaches youth the knowledge and skills needed to be successful                          
  • 20% Paperwork and Reporting
  • 10% Participation in supervision, agency-wide and staff meetings

To qualify for this job, you need to have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field preferred H.S. Diploma or GED required.
  2. Work Experience – Child welfare and/or mental health serving adolescents or young adults' preference is given.
  3. 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
  4. Ability to travel, driving a company or personal vehicle including at night.
  5. Physical working conditions - Ability to walk, including up stairs, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to complete an emergency safety intervention as trained.  Ability to be subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally and inside conditions frequently.
