Duties
Serve as the Budget Officer of the Resource Management Division (RMD) for Medical Department Activity, across three congressional appropriations.,Responsible for obtaining, administratively controlling, and accounting for all funds of the command.,Serve as a principal advisor to the Commander, on all matters pertaining to Fiscal Law and budgetary execution.,Analyze the organization's needs and prepares consolidated program estimates and requirements to include analyzing and recommending priorities between and among requirements.,Plan, organize, and direct the work of the Budget section of the Resource Management Department for MEDDAC.,Assign work based on priorities and capabilities of employees.,Establish performance standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes processing or reconciling collections and payments from various sources, keeping an updated record of all transactions utilizing financial accounting system databases such as General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS); and performing in-depth analysis of budget requests to make informed decisions to a budget officer. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
