Responsibilities:
- Conduct investment analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling and present net value (NPV) analysis, for aircraft and engine acquisitions, leases, and sales
- Develop investment recommendations using structured finance principles, risk assessment, and exit strategies
- Evaluate lease agreements, maintenance projections, and market trends to assess opportunities and risks
- Partner with business development teams to structure, price, and prioritize high-value investments
- Integrate technical, economic, and market intelligence into investment decisions, including fleet planning and supply-demand dynamics
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, OEM developments, and macroeconomic factors affecting the airline and air cargo sectors
- Support portfolio management by tracking asset performance, optimizing monetization strategies, and providing financial insights
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Aviation Finance, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as an Investment Analyst, Financial Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Aviation Finance, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience as an Investment Analyst, Financial Analyst, or related occupation.
- Experience must include the following: Proficient familiarity with all major commercial aircraft and engine types; Financial and technical acumen concerning aircraft and engine leasing; Application of knowledge in market values and general maintenance programs for engines and aircraft.
