Part-Time Faculty - Languages & Adult Basic Eduction (Central)

Teaching Languages & Adult Basic Education related course work.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes.

Continuing & Professional Development (CPD) is a District function operating programs on any and all San Jacinto College campuses including off-site locations.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
• Relevant experience teaching ESL, Languages or ABE courses

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in the discipline, OR
• Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline
• Prior experience in teaching Languages & Adult Basic Education coursework in higher education
• Experience with International students
• Texas Teaching certification

Salary Grade: AH
