Job Description:
The Trucordia Mergers & Acquisitions team is seeking a strategic, self-directed Business Development Associate. This role prefers a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can anticipate needs. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to keep transactions and integration efforts running smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inbound and outbound cold call sourcing efforts, including receiving and responding to calls and leads, coordinating follow‑ups, and screening prospective targets.
- Develop and assist with managing acquisition pipeline by researching and identifying potential targets aligned with strategic objectives.
- Travel required - attend industry-related conferences and meetings.
- Track and manage M&A project timelines, deliverables, and key milestones to ensure timely and efficient execution of strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level reports, meeting materials, and updates related to M&A activities, including scheduling and supporting leadership reviews.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring aligned communication, timely execution, and clear visibility across stakeholders.
- Schedule and facilitate internal M&A meetings, including managing agendas, capturing meeting notes, tracking follow-ups, and supporting cross-functional coordination.
- Proactively identify process gaps, roadblocks, or potential delays, and escalate issues as needed to maintain deal momentum and stakeholder alignment.
- Provide general support to the M&A team across deal origination and execution as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in corporate development support or M&A support roles
- Preferred in-house or outside sales experience
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact confidently with senior executives and stakeholders
- High attention to detail and comfort working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Office Suite and tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar project tracking platforms
- Experience in a structured project or PMO environment is a plus
This is primarily an onsite position that will require travel
